It was a beautiful day for an Easter egg hunt with sunny skies on Saturday morning.
Many children and their parents were on hand at the Centura Hills golf course for the 9th annual egg hunt.
Before the mad dash for the 1000 colored eggs packed by members of the Cairo United Methodist Church, children registered for 2 special Easter baskets donated by the gals from Bosselman’s Pump and Pantry #4.
The hunt — for ages birth to age 10 — lasted only a few minutes with all the eggs quickly snatched up by children.
The eggs were filled with candy, toys, pencil erasers and plenty of memories.
Berkley Strode and Jayden Molczyk were the drawing winners for the Bosselmans’ Pump and Pantry baskets.
13 golden eggs were hidden containing certificates to pick up Easter baskets donated from these area businesses: Pathway Bank, Pathway Financial, The Clip Joint, Touch of Class, The Watering Hole, Planter Paradise, Hagie Manufacturing, Troy’s Total Car Care, Baasch and Son’s, Nitsch Gallery, Western National Bank, ABC Daycare and the Cairo Village Office.
