These community outreach events will be:

Wednesday, July 9—Hy-Vee from 1 to 4 p.m.
Thursday, July 10—Grand Island Public Library from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Thursday, July 10—Wal-Mart North from 3 to 5 p.m.

Friday, July 11—Island Oasis from noon to 3 p.m.
Friday, July 11—Hall County Fair Pinnacle Bank Exhibition Building from 4 to 6 p.m.
At these public locations, information will be distributed about the vision planning process, answers will be provided to any questions citizens may have, as well as providing individuals the opportunity to complete a Grander Vision survey.Throughout the month of July, citizens from Grand Island and the entire Hall County region are encouraged to complete a survey to share input on the future vision of the region. The survey will be a valuable tool for gathering input to represent the viewpoints of the entire community. It will specifically discover the wants, needs, and desires for future planning.

This survey can be found  at www.surveymonkey.com/s/GranderVision. This 21 question, online survey contains questions concerning key topics such as parks and recreation, economic development, entertainment, retail, education, healthcare, and housing, and will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. Both the website and survey are also offered in Spanish. The survey will be available through July 31.

The Grander Vision project will continue to build through community engagement efforts with two open house presentations aimed at gathering community input and feedback. The open houses will provide opportunities for new and previously engaged members of the communities to meet, ask questions, and participate in the visioning process. The dates for the Open house events have been scheduled for Wednesday, August 6, and Thursday, October 2. Location and times will be announced at a later date.

The Grander Vision effort is working toward the completion of a Vision Action Plan by late Fall 2014.
