The Village of Cairo invites you to participate in this years Deck the House Contest. #christmasinthevillage

Hang up the sparkling lights, get out the candy canes and reindeer, and take part in a new Cairo tradition. Decorate the outside of your house and yard (must be visible from the street). Nominate your own home in Cairo or a friend’s by emailing the homeowner name and address to cairovillage@gmail.com or stop by the Village Office.  Judging takes place anonymously from the street after dark on December 2nd.  Houses must be decorated by 6:00pm on December 2nd to be judged.

Judges will look for the following criteria: Animation (moving parts), Sound & Special Effects,Interaction (feeling like part of the scene when visiting), and Effective Use of Space. The top three will receive an award sign in their yard.
