The Centura FBLA-PBL chapter for the consolidated school district located in the Village of Cairo, Dannebrog, and Boelus celebrated the FBLA-PBL Week, February 10-14, 2014 with the following activities. Monday: Go Green Day. Members wore green clothing to represent the state and local project Go Green. Students and staff were encouraged to recycle, reuse and reduce. A bulletin board was created by 7th graders filled with ways to be earth friendly. Tuesday: Dress for Success Day. Members dressed professionally as a future business leader. Wednesday: FBLA T-shirt Day and Staff Appreciation Breakfast. Members sported their burgundy and white t-shirts with the year theme of “Step up to the Plate” printed on the front. Ten members made pancakes, eggs, and sausage for the Centura Staff to show appreciation for their continued support. Friday: Feed Nebraska Cake Raffle. The 22 members attending the State FBLA Conference to be held in April brought baked goods to be raffled off at Friday night’s basketball games. A donation of $225 will be given to the local food bank. Feed Nebraska is a state and local project to help the hungry.
